Welcome to the HRA

For nearly a century, the Holland-on-Sea Residents’ Association has been a cornerstone of our community, working to enhance the lives of those who call it home. Since its founding in 1926 - when residents first gathered in a garage to make their voices heard by local and county councils - we have remained a strong and forward-thinking force, ensuring local concerns are addressed and community spirit thrives.

As a non-profit, voluntary organisation, our aim is simple: to bring people together, promote local engagement, and create opportunities that benefit Holland-on-Sea. Through quarterly public meetings, fundraising efforts, and vibrant community events, we strive to keep residents informed, connected, and actively involved. Our quarterly magazine, this website, our Facebook group and public meetings offer even more ways to stay up to date with local initiatives and discussions.

Next year, we celebrate a milestone - The HRAs cententary - 100 years of dedication to our community! As we prepare for this special occasion, we are looking for an Events Co-ordinator to join our committee to help lead our centenary celebrations and organise HRA events throughout the year along with the help of the rest of the committee. If you’re full of fresh ideas and have a passion for bringing people together, we’d love to hear from you.

Becoming an HRA member offers early access to updates about events and local matters, with subscriptions at a yearly donation of just £2 to a maximum of £20 per household. Your support helps fund our initiatives, ensuring we continue to serve the community.  If you’d like to become a member, head over to our Membership Page to find the details.

Our next public meeting is on Friday, 18th July at 7:30 pm at St. Bart’s Church Hall (Main Frinton Road, near the Co-op) - all residents are welcome!

Together, we can ensure Holland-on-Sea remains a wonderful place to live for generations to come.
