  • 🔍 Explanations of proposed changes to local government structures

  • 📄 Access to business case documents (once finalised)

Community Governance Review
The structure of local government is changing, this will mean that in the near future, Tendring District Council will be replaced with a different authority.

In the next few weeks you be receiving a letter from Tendring District Council explaining the upcoming Community Governance Review.  This review is designed to obtain the views of residents of Holland on Sea (and other areas) regarding the possible formation of a Parish Council.  It is really important, for all of us, that everyone takes part and is able to express their opinions.  We would like to ask that all of our members speak with their friends and neighbours, who may not be HRA members, when these letters start to arrive, and encourage them to take part.

You can also find all of the details on the TDC website here: https://www.tendringdc.gov.uk/content/community-governance-review where you can find all the details available to make an informed decision.

Keith Simmons, who is the Assistant Director Corporate Policy and Support, has agreed to attend our next Public Meeting on 18th July, 7.30pm at St. Bart's Church Hall, to explain the review process to residents.  If you are unable to attend, Mr Simmons hopes to hold another meeting at the Holland Public Village Hall later in the month.

There are also a series of public briefings as part of the initial consultation, including:
Monday 28th July 6.30-7.30pm St Johns Church Hall, St Johns Road, Great Clacton. CO15 4PB
